Helping Autism and LD Students Transition During Summer Break

CIP’s lead Life Skills Coordinator at the Brevard Center in Melbourne, Florida wrote this excellent article for the Sept/Oct 2016 issue of AmerDisability Magazine focusing on transitioning from summer break.

Transitioning home for breaks can be a difficult process for students with Autism and Learning Differences. Although they can be excited about the time off and seeing their families, they lose a lot of the structure and support that has helped them to be successful throughout the year.
